Yoga Flow on a Stand Up Paddleboard with Certified Yoga Master Arline

Yoga and Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) just happen to go together very well. Doing yoga on a paddleboard enhances the yoga workout. The paddleboard makes a fine yoga mat and the extra balance required by being on the water intensifies the yoga routine. The peacefulness and tranquility of floating on the water combines nicely with the meditative nature of yoga.

After a short land training on the Boating ramp at Jenner, we will tour the lower Russian river estuary, from the river mouth, stop at Goat rock beach for a short layover and paddle around Penny Island.

Dear Bill and John
From all the Lifeschool staff at the recent 6th grade Gualala River adventure, we wanted to send along a note of gratitude for your fantastic SUP services. You both went above and beyond, including scouting a location and being positive leaders with the kids. Their reviews of the SUPing was off the charts and we think it was the highlight of their trip. Thank you again for your hard work.
Arie and the staff and kids at Lifeschool and Go Adventures

Thanks to you and John for a great day yesterday. I look forward to taking another class some time and will recommend Rubicon Adventures to others looking to try SUP.

John is an amazing paddler and coach! As an experienced paddler, I was looking to learn more about paddling on the Russian River as well as getting some training tips for SUP racing. He was extremely knowledgeable, easy-going and eager to share his abilities as a strong paddler. He has fantastic technique and transcends his knowledge of the craft from the very basic up to the most advanced levels. Best coach in the Bay Area!

One of the best adventures of 2012 while SUP on the Russian river with friends. Bill and the boys rocked the trip. Thanks,

Teresa M.

SUP (stand Up Paddling) on the Russian River!!! I bought 2 for my teenage daughter and her friend. It turned out to be an amazing experience for both of them. We met at 9 am near the Wohler Bridge on Russian River. The guides, Bill and John brought the boards, life jackets, everything! They took their time on the lesson and safety issues, which, as the Mom, I really appreciated. They had the girls laughing but were simultaneously very serious. They are obviously experts and very good at what they do. They had them up and running in short order. The girls were a little anxious at first but were exhilarated and confident when they returned. There is very little current up there which makes it a great spot for novices. We can't wait to try it again. I could see this a family adventure or a rocking singles outing. Get out there!
